Job Description:
As a Security Ambassador at the Philadelphia Protection Unit, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. You will serve as the face of our security team, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor while executing your duties with precision and diligence.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a patrol vehicle to conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, including city subways, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities.
• Clear city subways, ensuring they are safe and secure for public use.
• Lock and unlock subways according to established schedules and security protocols.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, providing exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by offering assistance, directions, and information in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Work closely with Septa Police Officers to coordinate security efforts and respond effectively to security-related incidents or emergencies.
• Prepare daily reports documenting security activities, incidents, and observations.
• Wear a uniform and vest as required by company policy and maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain vigilant and alert at all times.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively, maintaining composure under pressure.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform security patrols and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Familiarity with security equipment and systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and protocols related to security and emergency response.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if required).
