Armed Part-Time Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly responsible and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will provide a visible deterrent against theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity during evening and nighttime hours. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their property.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
• Respond promptly and investigate disturbances.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
• Report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
• Maintain a high level of visibility to deter illegal or inappropriate actions.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Prepare and submit incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Act 235 Certification.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Experience in report writing and documentation.
• Familiarity with security equipment and surveillance systems.

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
