Campus Safety/School Aide 2024-2025

Equality Charter School (http://www.equalitycharterschool.org/) provides a high level of academic rigor in a nurturing learning community that will prepare scholars to be career-ready in college. Our mission is to ensure each scholar reaches individual academic and personal success through a nurturing, scholar-centered approach; and our approach is to serve any scholar, including those who are under-performing or who are from families in need of more resources.

We offer a positive school environment, we value academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, we use proactive strategies for teaching appropriate behaviors, and we use MTSS to engage scholars. Our holistic programming focuses on career exploration, extensive athletics, art, health, and a host of special days, like career day and a borough-wide college fair.

Qualifications: Campus Safety

• Station at the front desk to allow entry and exit to scholars and families.
• Monitor cameras, and track all visitor logs, and passes.
• Conduct the safety walk-throughs.
• And any other duties need to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our Equality values.

Qualifications: School aide

• Cover the main office if needed. Access also includes, answering phones, greeting visitors, writing passes, etc.
• Support execution of school systems: breakfast, arrival, dismissal, and meal times.
• Monitors hallway and common spaces to help maintain an orderly environment.
• Physical demands while performing this job could entail carrying 50-60 lbs.
• Covers classes when requested.
• Work late table signing in late scholars, writing a pass, and walking them to class.
• And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Equality's values.
• Perform duties related to custodial, as needed.

Hours 7:00 am- 4:00 pm

Salary: $55,000

After Hours: Stipend
