Assistant Programmer and Grave Security Guard

This is two jobs in one: a security guard who also has software development skills, familiar with React, Node, .NET, and C-Sharp. While working at one of our quiet graveyard night posts as a guard, you will also assist us develop a time and attendance and scheduling software solution that will have a special HR – messages tool, ensuring there are no problems in the workplace such as:

*all previous pay was complete and accurate

*meal and rest breaks were taken consistent with law

*no harassment, discrimination, off-the-clock-work, injury

This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting out in programming, needs experience and doesn't mind working as a guard, especially at night when it's quiet and there's plenty of time to program.

In terms of what your programming responsibilities are depends greatly on your skillset. Our guard company already has an Excel-based time and attendance, scheduling, messaging and invoicing system and we are developing a software solution that retains all features but also has a database. Instead of relying on our employees to clock-in and out, we use our scheduler to create and send employee time sheets. The HR message accompanies the timesheet and employees verify everything is correct before we pay them. Our Excel-based HR messaging system is so effective we hired a software developer to create an improved online version to be written in .NET, C Sharp with Node and React. It's worth emphasizing that we prefer someone willing to also learn our core security guard business as well, taking on some simple security-related tasks. This is NOT a remote position. Flexible hours and work schedule is appreciated.
