As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in creating a positive experience.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
- Check guests in and out efficiently while ensuring all necessary information is collected.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications with accuracy.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints effectively.
- Maintain an organized front desk area and ensure all materials are stocked.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV, to ensure guest safety.
- Assist with conflict management as needed, utilizing skills in surveillance and loss prevention.
- Provide information about local attractions, services, and amenities to enhance guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including first aid and CPR readiness.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.
- Skills in conflict management and loss prevention are highly desirable.
- A certificate in first aid or CPR is advantageous.
- Background in law enforcement or military service can be beneficial but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
