This is not for you if that is what you expect! Here at Star Protection we are seeking a customer service driven, local Security Officer to join our team and help ensure the safety of our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitor and authorize entrance of residents, visitors, and vendors. To guard against theft and maintain security of residential neighborhood. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership experience, excellent observational skills, a strong sense of responsibility and an ability to stay calm in emergency situations. This is an extremely busy, fast paced residential neighborhood. Considered a busy post! MUST BE RELIABLE AND READY TO WORK
- Active Drivers License
- No Serious Criminal History (no felonies last 20 years, no Class A or B misdemeanors last 5 years, no theft or violent crimes)
Responsibilities of a SECURITY OFFICER
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Secure all exits, doors and windows at assigned times
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit incident, maintenance and parking violation reports
Skills of a SECURITY OFFICER
- Ability to conduct Access Control, allowing entrance to site only to authorized personnel
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience using apps to generate reports
- Licensed Security Officer with State of Texas
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Performing vehicle patrols of the community
- Monitoring gate access and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the community
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and guests
- Enforcing HOA regulations
- Reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities
- Assisting with emergency situations as needed
- The Gate Attendant/Patrol Officer must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is passionate about providing excellent customer service.
