United Security Services, Inc., a national security company, which is owned and operated by retired law enforcement personnel, is seeking a professional full-time Security Director for an upscale hotel in Clearwater, Florida.
Please note that this is a supervisory-level position. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who can contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements:

Coordinating other guards and maintaining protocols to ensure property safety.

Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

Provide a welcoming environment and provide needed services for guests, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Patrol guest areas for suspicious activities, unauthorized people, and security breaches.

Communicate effectively with guests while maintaining excellent hospitality and interpersonal skills.

Investigate incidents and create detailed reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

Have a professional appearance and demeanor, representing the security team with integrity and respect.

Supervise and mentor security staff, providing guidance and training to ensure team members are knowledgeable about procedures and protocols.

Implement emergency procedures and manage crisis situations to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and property.

Maintain and update security equipment, ensuring that all systems are operational and compliant with safety regulations.

Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency response teams when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.

Oversee the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to enhance overall safety.

Conduct background checks for new hires and regularly monitor staff performance to maintain high standards of security.

Prepare security budgets, allocate resources, and ensure efficient use of security services and equipment.

Manage and resolve conflicts and guest complaints related to security issues, ensuring a resolution that maintains guest satisfaction and safety.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of security activities, incidents, and reports.

Participate in ongoing security training programs to stay current with best practices, regulations, and technology advancements.

Assist in the development and execution of security plans for large events or special functions hosted at the hotel.

Monitor and analyze surveillance footage to identify potential security concerns and prevent incidents.

Other responsibilities may apply as required by management to ensure the security and operational efficiency of the facility.
Preferred:
-
Knowledgeable in the key aspects of private security including, but not limited to: Handling hotel security tasks, responding to emergencies, preparing and reviewing incident reports, reviewing CCTV footage, progressive discipline, etc.

Ability to prepare security work schedules, review timesheets and handle general administrative matters.

Experienced with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn security software applications.

Possess a working knowledge of the hospitality industry and the related nomenclature.
The annual salary range to start is $75,000
