About the role
Securitas is expanding – we are looking for Relief Security Officer’s to cover a variety of clients in Essex area.
42 hours per week
Days, Nights & Weekends
£13 per hour plus expenses

Job Description
Site Security: Monitor and patrol the site to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage to property.
Control Room Operations: Work in a control room environment, monitoring CCTV, alarms, and other security systems, and responding appropriately to incidents.
Client, Staff & Visitor Interaction: Regularly speak with clients, staff, and visitors, ensuring all queries are addressed professionally and promptly.
Adaptability: Be adaptable to working in different environments, each with varying security protocols and operational needs.
Professional Appearance: Maintain a polite, friendly, and presentable demeanor at all times, representing the company and MOD sites with the highest standard of professionalism.
Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report all incidents, breaches, or concerns to management and relevant authorities as required.
Emergency Response: Be trained and ready to respond to emergencies, including fire drills, evacuations, and other critical situations.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in security, particularly within a control room environment, is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients, staff, and visitors.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage stressful situations.
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to security.
Flexibility to work across different sites and adapt to changing shift patterns.
Essential Skills
Essentials:
SIA License
Driving License and access to own vehicle
5-year checkable employment history & Right to Work in the UK
Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
Must be able to travel around Essex area
British National /Willing untaken SC clearance if required
Computer literate
2 years security experience
