About The Role

Title: Duty Security Supervisor

Location: The Acre, London, WC2E 9RA
Pay: £15.50
Shift: 4 DAYS ON 4 OFF 4 NIGHTS ON 4 OFF ROTATING

To maintain the security and life safety of the Clients staff, tenants, assets, and reputation. Also lead a Team of experienced Security staff with the purpose of:

  • Responding to and managing emergency situations/incidents in line with Client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation protocols
  • Investigating and reporting criminal activity using CCTV and other systems
  • Providing reports, via the Client systems, ensuring the service level expected by the Client is maintained.
  • Ensuring full compliance to GDPR protocols in all matters, including investigation records, databases, and CCTV records.
  • Oversee the proactive management/monitoring of all security systems, and ensure immediate and effective response, to mitigate risk and impact to the Client.
  • Continual training and development of the Security team to uphold service excellence.
Key Accountabilities
  • Act as an ambassador to both JLL and Bidvest Noonan by always delivering a first class and professional service.

  • Working closely with the Head of Security and Loading Bay Supervisor to help achieve critical service targets.

  • Rostering, planning and shift coverage using Time Gate. Ensuring any potential weakness is reported to the Head of Security.

To ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with site procedures and policies.

    • Maintain full understanding of all Security SOPs.

    • To provide management support and guidance to the team, and basic disciplinary.

    • Conduct basic disciplinary process when required, in line with relevant Bidvest Noonan HR process, under the direction of the Head of Security.

    • Maintain fully accurate logs and other administrative records, in adherence to housekeeping and securing all data in accordance with GDPR protocols.

    • Ensure Manager and team handovers are completed, in line with expected standards.

    • Manage agreed training for your respective team members and ensure upkeep of all training records.

    • Manage succession training for CCTV Controllers and Security Officers, to ensure robust resilience and consistent provision of operationally competent persons on site.

    • Ensure team manage contractors working on site, in line with site permit to work system/ procedures.

    • Site and team auditing and reports, in line with agreed frequency (daily, weekly, monthly).

    • Ensure correct implementation of new or amended SOPs, under the direction of the Head of Security or Client.

    • Provide the highest standards of reports on all formats – written, email.

    • Liaison with local law enforcement and other external stakeholders when required.

    • Ensure the weekly Sister Bank Conference call is attended, and comprehensive report is distributed to the relevant parties.

    • Assist the Head of Security with staff appraisals.

    • Conduct monthly welfare meetings with all team members (Excluding Loading Bay staff, unless required, due to Loading Bay Supervisor absence).

    • Attend meetings as directed by Head of Security or Client.

    • Ensure you and your Team are immaculately presented in full uniform, compliant with expected standards.

    Ordering of uniform when required for all team members (inc Loading Bay staff).

      • Deal with all Clients, contractors, and visitors in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.

      • Ensure all team members maintain clear, concise radio and telephone communications always.

      • Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of Bidvest Noonan and the Client

      • Ensure trained team members respond to medical incidents when required and provide first aid.

      • To actively contribute to the overall security infrastructure at Ropemaker through shared best practice, knowledge sharing and any suggestions to management for the continued development and efficiency of all Ropemaker security systems and personnel.

      • The above responsibilities are not exhaustive, and the Duty Manager will be expected to carry out any other reasonable requests from Bidvest Noonan Senior Management, or the Client.

      Skills & Experience required
      • Must develop good working knowledge of the Client location.
      • Good working knowledge of tenants and Client staff within the building.
      • Good understanding of security risk management.
      • Excellent written/oral communication skills.
      • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
      • Strong motivation and understanding of management techniques.
      • Able to contribute enthusiastically and co-operatively in a management team.
      • Possess a logical approach to work and ability to deliver under pressure with a proactive approach.
      • Maintain a good working knowledge of the Incident Management Process.
      • Good working knowledge of all Client security systems (Access control, CCTV etc.).
