Security Officer

Job Overview:

Guardify Security is seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our growing team on a zero-hours contract basis. This flexible role is ideal for individuals looking to work in a dynamic and professional environment, providing protection and security for clients, staff, and premises.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers flexibility with no guaranteed minimum hours, allowing you to choose shifts based on availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and Patrol assigned areas to detect signs of suspicious activity, ensuring premises remain secure at all times.
• Incident Response: Act quickly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, investigating and reporting findings.
• CCTV Operation: Operate and monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment as required.
• Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and access points to identify security risks or vulnerabilities.
• Loss Prevention: Support theft prevention efforts by identifying and addressing suspicious behavior.
• First Aid Support: Provide first aid assistance when necessary to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Incident Reporting: Prepare detailed written reports for all incidents, inspections, and security breaches.
• Liaison with Authorities: Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.

Requirements:

• SIA Licence (Valid): Must possess a valid SIA licence or be willing to obtain one before employment.
• Experience Preferred, Not Essential: Previous security experience is desirable but not mandatory—training will be provided.
• Surveillance Knowledge: Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance methods is beneficial.
• First Aid Skills: Knowledge of basic first aid is an advantage.
• Strong Observation Skills: Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts based on availability.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people.

Additional Information:

• Contract Type: Zero-Hours Contract (No guaranteed minimum hours; shifts offered based on business requirements).
• Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour.
• Location: Various sites across London.
• Uniform Provided: Uniform and equipment will be issued upon induction.
• Screening Requirements: Must pass BS7858 security screening, including DBS checks and 5-year work/education history verification.
