Experienced Security Supervisor-High-End Residential Property

Location: Downtown Markham, ON

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm (0700-1500)

Pay Rate: up to $20/hr

About Us:

Join our dynamic team at Wincon as an experienced Security Supervisor for one of our upscale condominiums located in the heart of Downtown Markham's Cultural District. We are currently overseeing the management of a luxurious residential property that's in the midst of construction and transitioning into a prime living space.

Please note that the residential site is currently undergoing construction. As a result, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing access control to construction workers and service providers; safety equipment will be provided to the candidate. You will also need to interface with property management and project managers. Once the building reaches occupancy, your role will transition back to the primary responsibilities outlined in this job advertisement.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Security Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and security of our residents, staff, and visitors. You'll be the first point of contact and the "face" of the property, providing exceptional service excellence and ensuring a safe environment. Your responsibilities will include:

– Access Control: Managing entry and exit points to the property, ensuring only authorized individuals gain access.

– Resident Request Management: Assisting residents with their inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.

– Noise Complaints Management: Addressing noise-related concerns and ensuring a peaceful living environment.

– Common Area Bookings: Coordinating and managing bookings for shared spaces within the property.

– Parking Management: Overseeing parking facilities and ensuring orderly parking arrangements.

– Package Tracking: Tracking and delivering packages to residents accurately and securely.

– Move-In/Move-Out Facilitation: Assisting with the smooth process of residents moving in or out of the property.

Additional Responsibilities:

In addition to the core responsibilities mentioned above, you will also be responsible for:

– Ensuring all Security Guards are well-trained and up-to-date with mandatory training.

– Handling staff discipline when necessary and maintaining proper documentation for human resources.

– Conducting security audits to identify areas of improvement.

– Documenting and investigating security incidents and complaints thoroughly.

– Conducting both proactive and reactive security patrols.

– Communicating any concerns or issues to the Operations Manager.

– Preparing daily site reports and documenting important information in shift briefs.

– Conducting staff inspections and overseeing day-to-day activities.

– Communicating and liaising with tenants and building ownership.

Requirements:

– Valid Security Guard License and Emergency First Aid certification.

– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.

– Proficiency in computer skills.

– Outstanding customer service skills with an outgoing and friendly personality.

– Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the Security industry, Law Enforcement, or Military.

– Minimum of 1-2 years' Security supervisory experience.

– Secondary school education (or equivalent); Post-Secondary education is an asset.

– Security and Police Foundations Diploma is a plus.

-Emergency management skills, including fire safety, de-escalation, use of force, and medical response.

– Access to personal vehicle is considered an asset.
