Skyview Security currently seeks Tactical Security Guards at one of its locations in the Mississauga , ON, area.
The Ideal Candidate must have:
- 2 years of Tactical Security experience or equivalent
- Full-time availability to work all days of the week, and schedules will consist of afternoons, overnights, and weekend shifts, including holidays and weekends.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to work full time with no hourly restrictions
- Understanding and Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Mental Health Act and various legislation and regulations, i.e., Section 494 CCC, Trespass to Property Act, etc.
- Use of Force: Trained/Certified Baton/Handcuff (Asset)
- Customer service-driven individual
- Clear English communication skills in all areas (verbal and written)
- Detailed and thorough record-keeping (Memo book, incident reports, etc.)
- Keen observation and attentiveness
- Professional physical deportment and presentation
- Decision Making, Reliable, Common Sense, and exceptional judgment
- Able to work as a team
- Working knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code of Canada
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding and personalized customer service as a front line representative of Skyview Security.
- Operate and maintain an organized environment
- Enforce property rules and regulations and the Trespass to Property Act to maintain the security and safety of our clients and their assets
- Actively Monitor CCTV, fire systems, and access systems
- Respond to all emergencies (medical, building, etc.)
- Ensure that safety and emergency protocols are completed in response to Fire Alarms and other Site Emergencies
- Complete walking patrols, vehicle patrols, and inspections of facilities and equipment and report any hazards, deficiencies, etc. to ensure safety and security
- Review, know and follow post orders as identified for site representing
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow the facilities health and safety procedures
- Duties as otherwise assigned
Qualifications:
- Ontario Security Guard and/or Private Investigator License (with no restrictions)
- Certified First Aid & CPR Level C + AED
- Ontario Drivers License with full privileges (is an asset)
- Ontario Smart Serve Certificate (is an asset)
- Use of Force – Trained/Certified Baton/Handcuff (Asset)
