Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Mobile and Dispatch Operations, Risk and Compliance, and Special Event Management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of security protocols, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery. This role requires effective management of personnel, resources, and client relationships to ensure everything runs smoothly and contract requirements are met. The incumbent also supports national business initiatives, handles incident management and leads the quality assurance operations, ensuring top-notch service and compliance.
Some of your responsibilities include…
- Manage and supervise operational activities, including scheduling, staffing, and deployment of security personnel
- Manage effectiveness and efficiency through process improvements and active participation in forecasting operational needs, aligning with Business Managers, Field Leadership, and Human Resources
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns promptly and effectively to enhance satisfaction and retention
- Develop strategy for compliance, including auditing, non-conformance reporting, and incident management
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage and monitor the development and implementation of Post Orders/Work Instructions, and conduct investigations of non-compliance, grievances, and complaints
- Provide leadership, management and guidance to ensure the effectiveness of supervisors and employees
- Counsel supervisors and employees on performance, career progression, and interpersonal conflicts; conduct disciplinary actions and participate in conflict resolutions
- Build and maintain relationships with new, existing, and potential clients to grow our business

Requirements
- Post-secondary Diploma in related field such as: Business Admin, Police Foundations, Operations Management or equivalent level of experience and/or education
- 8 years of management experience with several direct reports
- 5 years of experience in the physical security industry
- Physical Security Professional (PSP) OR CPP designation is considered an asset
- English mandatory, French is considered a strong asset
- Ability to obtain a secret level security clearance
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (G) and clean driving record
