An Access Control Specialist is responsible for identifying, analyzing and supporting personnel requesting assistance globally. As a specialist your expertise in our access policies plays a crucial role in safeguarding our organizations assets and ensuring the integrity of our security infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce access policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access
- Review and provide access logs, conduct audits, create and replace keycards
- Submit personnel through our soft background check system and monitor progress
- Apply the correct access for employees and contractors to ensure they can work freely and safely in our global spaces.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, badge swipes and other surveillance equipment to identify potential security threats or concerns.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies and take appropriate action as necessary
- Conduct investigations into security breaches or incidents and documenting findings
- Collaborate with our Security Operations team in investigations, help them detect an deter any suspicious activity and assist them in providing first aid assistance when required
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, daily activities and any relevant information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Intermediate level computer skills with a familiarity in Microsoft Office, Excel as well as the ability to learn new programs and monitoring systems
- Motivation to learn and adapt to new and changing policies
- Prior security related roles not required but encouraged to apply
